Fwd: June 7 - Daily Feast

June 7 - Daily Feast

Fear makes us susceptible to the thing we fear. But the world of information is telling us we are potential victims of everything from killer bees to disease we have yet to pinpoint. Natural shields exist within us against anything on the attack. My mother proved it when I was a child and she was not afraid of snakes or dogs - but they were afraid of her. So was I, in a way. But I wanted that security so I had to learn how to use my natural shield against all threats, and her example was a worthy one. She put away fear by turning to face it and she gave it no power to ever make her susceptible to it.

~ It is my wish and the wishes of my people to live peaceably and quietly with you. ~

"If there is a shadow of a doubt someplace, that will cause a weakness."

--Wallace Black Elk, LAKOTA

In the Spiritual World there is a spiritual Law. The Law says like attracts like. This means whatever mental picture we hold inside our minds we will attract from the Universe. To make this Law work we must maintain a constant picture. If we picture or vision something, and along with this picture we have doubting thoughts, our vision will not happen and we will get EXACTLY what we picture or vision. The Law always works. A doubting vision will not materialize what we want. A vision without doubt will always happen. This is a spiritual Law.

My Maker, today, let my vision become strong.

"THINK on THESE THINGS"
By Joyce Sequichie Hifler

Thoughts are things. Left unguarded we can expect them to rule us with ruthless persistence. Like attracts like. We are what we think.

Emerson believed there was something stronger than any material force. It was his belief that thought rules the world. To think positively is sometimes referred to as refusing to face reality. But who is wise enough to determine what reality is, and who can describe it? The things we see and touch are merely objects made up of tiny particles we can't see individually. So it is with reality - tiny thoughts we don't remember thinking, but the result is obviously positive or negative.

If we think continually of how sick and nervous, how unhappy and poverty-stricken we are, then we can expect to be so afflicted. Tiny thoughts produce large results. When we've learned to control our thinking, then we have a chance to control our circumstances.

Imperfect thoughts, like unsavory characters, can come to anyone's door, but we don't have to let them in. Sometimes we have to look beyond present appearances and see the truth of things, to know that any product is worth only as much as the quality of its materials. We would be wise to put into practice the teaching of Philippians 4:8.

"Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise....think on these things.
